Our Petula Adventures
In the 1960’s my husband and I fell in love with Petula Clark’s music. . We happily attended every one of her Toronto appearances, starting with our first concert in November, 1967.
During our working years, when we could, we ventured further from home to see Petula perform. But when we retired those travels became more frequent and, before we knew it, we had become sort of senior “groupies’ , creating what we deemed our “Petula Adventures”. Our travels became more frequent and for longer periods of time, with each trip centered around a Petula Clark concert in a new city.
These journeys turned out to be about so much more than the music; they were a chance to experience some places we probably never would have, and to revisit other places that we came to love. It most certainly added a sense of adventure and joy to our lives . We owe a lot to Petula Clark for enriching our lives with her music and the years of travel. This blog has been an attempt to recreate those experiences.
